JPOX 1.2 provides the third generation of JPOX. JPOX version 1.2 extends JPOX to encompass
the "Java Persistence" (JPA 1.0) specification (subset of the persistence technology specified in the
JDO 2.0 specification), and to take in the JDO 2.1 specification. In addition JPOX 1.2 will provide
persistence to DB4O datastores, as well as significantly enhancing its support for persisting spatial types
(implementing the OGC Simple Feature Specification). Please consult JIRA for details of other work planned
in JPOX 1.2.

Please note that future development of JPOX is taking place under the name of
DataNucleus and in particular
DataNucleus Access Platform
and, as such, JPOX 1.2 is likely the last version under the name JPOX.
