JPOX Support : Free and Commercial

JPOX is an Open Source implementation. It is written by a small number of people to perform complicated tasks. The JPOX experts work on this largely in their spare time and, though they do provide a level of free "forum-based" support, cannot be expected to provide answers to all questions in as timely manner as they would like. Users of this software are expected to utilise the extensive documentation, and utilise the free forums to obtain the answers they require.

  1. Check the Documentation for JPOX 1.0, JPOX 1.1 or JPOX 1.2 before anything else. The answer is usually there, either in a tutorial/example, or in one of the many guides.
  2. Look in the JPOX Log when running JPOX. This usually contains a lot of information that may answer the issue. You can always configure the log to give more output.
  3. Try a recent build to see if your version is out of date and the expected result is achieved with the latest nightly builds.
  4. Go to the Online Forum and ask. Always try to give as clear a description of the problem as possible, together with your input data, and any associated log output. Please be aware that we have very little time for this type of support and contributors to JPOX are more likely to get any available free support

Support Levels

JPOX is an Open Source project and so the source code is available where companies choose that option. This is clearly not convenient for the majority of companies who prefer something ready-made to allow an optimised deployment of JPOX into priority projects. For this reason we aim to provide a multi-tier support framework so that businesses can choose what suits them best.

  • General Support for the most common issues on API usage, defect reporting and bug fixing. It's available for free and on availability on our online forums.
  • Incident Support for dedicated support for a single incident.
  • Bronze Support for dedicate support covering several incidents over an extended period.

These are detailed below.
