The Javelin visual modeler and coder generates JDO/JPOX meta data files for the POJOs you have in your class diagrams. The meta data is updated automatically as you make changes to your object model. It does fairly intuitive mapping from the model by default but there are many customization options available such as choosing an inheritance mapping strategy, column naming, one to many mapping (foreign key or join table). Many of the options have global scope so you can change the option, regenerate the mapping files and then test your code to see how it performs under different mapping strategies. http://stepaheadsoftware.com/products/javelin/javelin.htm ---------------------------------------- Chris Colman http://visualclassworks.com Javelin: Visual modeling & coding with automatic JDO 2/DataNucleus meta data generation. http://expojo.com expojo: Simple dependency injection and exposed POJO domain model pattern |
