ODFDOM 0.7 changes to support ODF 1.2 and has significant refactoring of packages and renaming of methods etc.

2 bugs (so far) in ODFDOM 0.7.0

ODFDOM 0.8.0 has further large API changes. Tracking them is a nightmare so maybe leave alone until they reach a 1.0

Attempt to save a null field results in NPE with the 0.8.0 release of ODFDOM,

java.lang.NullPointerException
        at org.odftoolkit.odfdom.doc.text.OdfWhitespaceProcessor.append(OdfWhitespaceProcessor.java:61)
        at org.odftoolkit.odfdom.doc.table.OdfTableCell.setDisplayText(OdfTableCell.java:627)
        at org.odftoolkit.odfdom.doc.table.OdfTableCell.setStringValue(OdfTableCell.java:744)
        at org.datanucleus.store.odf.fieldmanager.InsertFieldManager.storeStringField(InsertFieldManager.java:132)

hence blocked until they fix such basic handling

Still awaiting 0.8.5 release of ODFDOM so no way this will be done

Tried 0.8.5 release of ODFDOM and latest bug is
http://odftoolkit.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=173
which I reported against 0.7.* but they obviously haven't fixed it

SVN trunk now uses ODFDOM-Java 0.8.7 and test.jdo.spreadsheet tests pass
