JPOX 1.2 supports JDK 1.3+. DataNucleus Access Platform supports JDK 1.3+ (currently). Access Platform 1.0 final will be out start of September and will support JDK1.3+. At some point after that (1.1 dev) we will switch to JDK1.5+ so that
- Java5 Enum mapping moves to "store.rdbms"
- Java5 Annotations/JDO moves to "core"
- Java5 JPA becomes "jpa" plugin
1.1 dev will likely be a short period after 1.0 final so we can have 1 or 2 maintenance releases.
People using JDK1.3/1.4 can continue to use JPOX 1.2 or DataNucleus 1.0
